The view out of a spinning probe as it drops through Titan’s atmosphere. Those guys at the ESA must have the best job in the world at the moment. Even though they’re not dressed up like michelin men they are still interplanetary explorers, which has got to be the coolest gig on Earth.
The whole huygens probe story brings a tear to my eye, making the little boy inside me very happy indeed. This is interplanetary exploration as I wanted it to be 20 years ago. The terrain looks more familiar to the Earthian eye than Mars. More like the erroded, liquid covered surface of Earth than the arid deserts of Mars.
