There’s a few comments flying round the photo-blogo-sphere at the moment about Kodak cashing up it’s chips in the 35mm film camera market. A good one on Photodude with some through links to news stories and op-ed articles.
I know nothing about the finer points of the photographic industry but general opinion seems that it was too late, they should have done it earlier. I suppose with the drop in demand for film cameras that there will be quite a few casualties before 35mm becomes a some old skool vintage enthusiasts realm with a few old companies still making curious for folks like me.

I just got back from Andrew’s wedding in Siena. Here’s a selection of digital shots; straight out of the CCD and onto the screen. There should be some more tomorrow when I get some of the film back from the shop. I’ll see what’s worth scanning there. Hopefully plenty of tasty night shots with my new cameras.
But till then check out these images. I quite like the one where we are smoking gently by the fountain in the campo.

I went to the Weather Exhibition at the Tate Modern just after new year. Took the ubiquitous pictures, everyone seemed to be doing it and I just couldn’t help myself. I wonder where it ranks amongst the most photographed things at the moment. This one sort of sums up the balmy atmosphere that the huge sun and the smoke machines create, even though the temperature in the turbine hall was only just hovering above zero.
And some more shots here.
